The cable wood chop is a diagonal torso rotation with a cable: high to low across your body, working the obliques and the whole core.

Setup
Set the pulley high, stand side-on and take the handle with both hands above your far shoulder. Feet wider than your shoulders, knees soft. Pull diagonally toward your opposite hip, turning your torso.
Execution
Set the handle on the top pulley, stand side-on, take it in both hands and step out to arm's length.
Exhale and pull the handle down across your body to your front knee, rotating your torso; arms straight, back foot pivoting.
Inhale and return slowly. Same reps on the other side.
Common mistakes
Pulling with your arms — they stay nearly straight while your torso turns.
Rounding your back — it's a rotation, not a crunch.
Feet glued to the floor while your knee twists — let your back foot pivot.
