How it works

Workout log app

A diary that's actually easy to fill in between sets — on iPhone or right in Telegram. You enter weight and reps; I work out everything else.

Athlete Diary exercise progress screen: best weight, best set, e1RM and an e1RM chart for the bent-over barbell row

A set in two taps

Weight with buttons or as a line, reps in one tap. Last time, the program's plan and today's target sit right next to it. In Telegram it's a single line, 100 8, or a voice message.

Records and progress

For every exercise — best weight, best set and estimated max (e1RM), a chart and four-week growth. You see where you're adding weight and where it's stuck.

An AI coach that reads your diary

Ask "am I getting stronger?" and I answer with numbers from your workouts. I'll build a program split into days for your gym and goal. Up to 20 questions a day, free.

Video form check

Film a set from the side and send it — I'll say what I see and what to fix first. Clips up to 20 seconds, up to 10 reviews a day.

Programs

Ready-made splits: full body for 2 and 3 days, 5×5, upper-lower, push-pull-legs. During a workout I show what's next on the plan and the set scheme.

Switch without losing history

History from Hevy, Strong or any spreadsheet moves over as a file: I skip duplicates, match names to the catalog, and you can undo the import for 30 days.

Where it works

The app is on iPhone. The bot works wherever Telegram does: Android, iPhone, desktop. They share one diary: start in the bot, keep going in the app. Free, no subscription.

Questions

FAQ

What's a good workout log app with an AI coach?

Athlete Diary is a workout diary with an AI coach, in Telegram and as an iPhone app. You type a set in one line, like 100 8, and I count tonnage, records and estimated max myself. The coach sees your history, builds a program split into days and reviews your form from video. It's free.

How much does it cost?

It's free. There are no paid plans. The AI coach has a daily cap — 20 questions and 10 video reviews a day. Logging workouts, taking programs and using the calculators have no limits.

What does it run on? Is there an Android app?

The bot works wherever Telegram does: Android, iPhone and desktop. There's a dedicated app for iPhone. The bot and the app share one diary.

Can I move my workouts from Hevy or Strong?

Yes. Export a CSV from Hevy or Strong and send it to the bot or upload it in the app — I split it into workouts, match the exercise names and show you the result before anything is saved. Any spreadsheet with date, exercise, weight and reps works too.

Do I need to install anything?

No. The bot lives in Telegram: open it from the link and log your first set. The iPhone app is optional, and it shares the same diary with the bot.

Start your diary today — the first workout takes a minute to log.
