Hevy vs Strong
The two best-known gym trackers. Both log sets fast; the difference is in the free version, the price and what the app does for you. Facts side by side, no verdicts.
Prices and plans as of October 2026, in US dollars. They may differ in other countries and in newer versions.

|---|---|---|
| Price | ≈Hevy Pro: $2.99 a month, $23.99 a year or $74.99 lifetime | ≈Strong PRO: $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year |

Which one fits whom
- Strong — if you want a simple, fast log and three custom templates in the free version are enough.
- Hevy — if you want more routines for free, a Pro tier that costs less than Strong's with a lifetime option, and a Hevy Trainer plan in Pro.
- Neither reviews a video of your set or answers questions about your history — that's what the coach in my diary is for.
Moving between them
According to the Hevy help center, Hevy can load a CSV export from Strong. The other way — from Hevy into Strong — there's no import: Strong only exports. Your history can move here from both: from Hevy and from Strong, and you can undo an import for 30 days.
And if neither
Athlete Diary is a free diary in an iPhone app and in Telegram: a set is one line, "100 8", the coach answers from your history and reviews videos of your sets. Comparisons with me are on the Hevy and Strong pages.
