Double progression — add reps, then weight
A way to progress: you work in a rep range, add a rep at a time, and once you hit the top you add weight and start from the bottom again.
Example: 3×8–12 with 50 kg. Today you get 10, 9, 8 — next time you go for 11, 10, 9. Once all three sets reach 12, you add 2.5 kg and start again from eight. Reps grow first, then weight — hence "double".
Why it works: adding 2.5 kg to an 8-rep bench every week won't last long, but adding a rep will. In the Plotkin et al. (2022) study, progressing by reps and progressing by load gave similar muscle growth, with a small edge in strength for load.
My diary suggests your target for a set exactly this way: within 5–12 reps (or whatever range the program's scheme sets) — one more rep, and at the top of the range — one weight step, usually 2.5 kg, 5 kg on heavy lifts. If the weight hasn't moved for three workouts in a row at 12+ reps, I'll remind you it's time to add.

In the diary I work out all of these numbers myself — you just log the set.
